connect

Hello,
I'm having the strangest problem.
SQL 2000 on a Win 2003 server.
I'm trying to connect via the query analyzer to the sql server on
another box. It was working all fine yesterday. Actually, it didn't
work initially. But I restarted the service MSSQLSERVER and I was able
to connect.
I can ping the SQL server IP. I can even ping it by the computer name,
WINBOX. The SQLServer is named WINBOX too.
Any ideas?BTW I looked at this KB article http://support.microsoft.com/?id=328306
and none of that seems to be my situation.|||Interesting find today.
If I log in or map a drive on the win 2003k machine I'm fine.
But if I don't I get an connection error.
This is beyond the my access rights to the SQL server itself.
