Connect from FreeBSD

What is the best way/best driver to use to connect to MSSQL Server from
FreeBSD 4.x/5.x without using FreeTDS ?
I'm having odd/unknown problems with FreeTDS and am looking for an
alternative
Thanks
If you're using Java there are several JDBC drivers available. DataDirect
and JNetDirect both offer them. I think DataDirect also offers an ODBC
driver that runs under linux that can connect to SQL Server.

There are two alternatives from http://www.openlinksw.com. One
provides a Client/Server and the other a Client only installation. You
haven't stated what problems you're having with FreeTDS but we might
be able to help here as we've done extensive work with our SQLServer
drivers.
For more information, please visit uda.openlinksw.com and follow the
links for Software Availability. If you're using C, you might also be
interested in the iODBC project at www.iodbc.org.
