Configuring Reporting Services 2005 on windows 2003 server with II
A question to those who installed and configured Reporting services 2005
successfully and area ble to generate a data model from the cube though a
browser { IE}.
Can you please let me know what accounts did you use in the setup process
and to create a data model from the browser ? I installed RS2005 and
configured it but I am unable to create a data model from a browser . I want
to use Report Builder to build my reports from the web with the data model
as my data source.
I appreciate your time and effort in hleping me to solve my problem.
Thank You

KKallis,
I am having difficulty in understanding exactly what you are asking.
To create a Report Model use Business Intelligence Development Studio.
Use a Report Model Project template from the New Project dialog.

Thanks for responding . My point of concern is about generating a data
model from the web. After deploying a cube from SSAS project ,I can browse to
the cube from the browser thru IIS .Here , there should be a button which
says "Generate A Model" to generate a data model . I don't see this button .
This data model is based on the cube . The data model created from the Report
Model Project is based on the SQL DB and is of not much use to me .Are you
able to generate a data model based on the cube ?
thanks
